TACOS, TUNES, & TEQUILA… that’s what we’re all about. 21 and up after 9pm daily. We’ve always envisioned La Puerta as a hangout for people who want to be treated with a high level of hospitality while enjoying quality Mexican food and drinks in a fun atmosphere. Our Sinaloa-inspired family recipes demand we make nearly everything on the menu fresh daily and we never use artificial flavorings or enhancers. Our specialty drinks are made with the freshest ingredients and juices. We squeeze every lime, and while it may take a few minutes, we strive to make a damn good drink that delivers maximum refreshment. Whether you’re enjoying our Carne Asada tacos or our fresh-squeezed margaritas, you will have a great time!

Amazing place! I mean, everything there was great! Delicious food and cocktails , cool atmosphere, nice music and the stuff working there are amazing! I totally recommend it to anyone who goes to San Diego!

Had a great experience at La Puerta in the Gaslamp! The food was delicious, especially the tacos and carne asada fries, and the portions were generous. The drinks were also really good, and the atmosphere was fun, lively, and perfect for a night out in downtown San Diego. Our service was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. Definitely a great spot for Mexican food, drinks, and a fun Gaslamp vibe. Would definitely come back! 🌮🍹

Great service. Really good TexMex type food. Huge portions. The Shrimp Tostada app. was very good. The shrimp were large and fresh. Their salsas are delicious, try the Habenero one for that special kick. A bit loud especially during sports events. Will definitely come back.

This place serves authentic Mexican food with very good quality. The tacos and quesadillas were both quite tasty. However, the atmosphere was a bit loud and had a hippy vibe.

I stopped by La Puerta during happy hour and it did not disappoint. The half-off pupus were an unbeatable deal, and the portions were surprisingly large, definitely great value for the price. Everything was flavorful and satisfying. The bartender was also very cool and welcoming. I’ll definitely be back for happy hour when I’m in SD again!
